Definitions are not standardized#
Order block, fair-value gap, break of structure and liquidity sweep can be drawn differently from the same candles. Before comparing a claim, record the exact rule, timeframe, session and invalidation method used to create the label.
Hindsight can make charts look cleaner#
A completed chart makes it easy to select a zone that preceded a visible move. A useful test must define zones before the outcome, include failed examples and avoid quietly redrawing levels after new candles appear.
Reproducible evidence needs more than screenshots#
Evidence should state the sample, market, date range, transaction assumptions and treatment of ambiguous cases. Selected screenshots or a high follower count do not establish predictive value.
Key principles#
Timeframe and feed
The same label can change when candle boundaries, sessions or price feeds differ.
Base-rate check
Count failed and uneventful zones as well as attractive examples before judging a claim.
