A recovery secret is not identity verification#
Seed phrases, private keys and backup codes can provide control over wallet assets. They are not customer-support identifiers, eligibility checks, signal-subscription credentials or proof that a user owns an account. Treat any request to reveal, photograph, type or paste one as a request for wallet access, regardless of the logo, profile name or market screenshot shown.
Recognize the social-engineering sequence#
Common warning signs include an unsolicited direct message, a private recovery link, urgency after a market move, fake support in a group reply, a request to install remote-access software, or a wallet-connect page presented as verification. Check the account and destination through an independently opened official site; do not rely on a link or contact supplied inside the claim.
Treat signing pressure as a separate risk#
A request may avoid asking for the seed phrase and instead push a token approval, contract signature or small transfer. A market signal does not establish what those permissions do or who controls the destination. Review the full network, address and permission through trusted wallet documentation before approving anything; MarketPulse never asks a reader to sign a transaction.
Respond through trusted channels#
If a secret was disclosed or an unfamiliar permission was approved, stop using the supplied chat or link and consult the wallet provider's independently located security guidance. Review recent permissions and activity through trusted interfaces and report impersonation through the relevant official platform or authority. A public article cannot recover assets or verify a private support account.
